The US Ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan, once again commented on the process of appointing judges, noting that according to the agreement reached between the parties on April 19, the process of appointing judges should be suspended until reforms are carried out.
"Important to my calls are the commitments made by the political leaders when they agreed and signed the agreement on April 19. This agreement means that the process of appointing judges will be suspended until the reforms are carried out. And before the reforms are carried out, they also agreed on what kind of judicial system is needed for the country. That is what we expect, an agreement is an agreement and the process must be stopped until there is a debate on judicial reform," said Kelly Dgenan.
According to him, the parliament has an obligation to suspend appointments, hold debates and evaluate the reforms carried out.
