“We called on the parliament to suspend this process and think about the current situation up until they take a new step and, I hope, this will happen” – EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzel made this statement while talking about the process of appointing judges to the Supreme Court.
As Carl Hartzel says, its imperative, that the spirit of the 19 April agreement be fulfilled.
Despite the agreement and the demands of international partners, the Georgian Dream doesn’t give up its position and instead of a full reform, they rush the appointment of obedient judges.
The list of 9 judges will be sent to Parliament by the High Council of Justice next week.
