Irakli Gharibashvili must resign - Kramer

"We [in the United States] should demand Garibashvili's resignation and sanctions against those responsible for what happened in Georgia today," David Kramer, a former US Secretary of State, told VOA.

According to Kramer, the Georgian government bears full responsibility for what happened.

"The Georgian government is responsible for what transpired today, not only because they did not condemn the events, but also because they contributed to [what happened]. It was a very bad day for Georgia and I think the Prime Minister should resign, but I do not think he will do so" said David Kramer.
