It is time for the West to impose sanctions on Gharibashvili - Kramer

Former US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs David Kramer said in an interview with the Mtavari Channel that Irakli Gharibashvili is leading Georgia in the wrong direction and that it was time for the West to impose sanctions on him:

"It is truly the time to impose sanctions, and the prime minister is one of the leading candidates. If he does not do what is right, then I think the West should impose sanctions on him because he [Gharibashvili] is leading Georgia in the wrong direction and some think it's on Mr Ivanishvili's orders or with his consent. It is time that the West shows that it is serious and everyone is tired of so many crises," Kramer said.
