According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, a Georgian Dream MP, the actions of radical groups, including violence against journalists, are "pouring water on the mill" for members of the opposition and the organizers of the Tbilisi Pride.
"I have a question for the organizers of all this, if they [violent groups] as well as a very large and important part of the Georgian society believe that they should protect national interests, identity, the church and so on, then Don't the actions taken by some of them contribute to discrediting all this? Doesn't it, on the contrary, pour water on someone's mill and these someone are the radical opposition and the organizers of the Pride, who probably wanted all this to happen? They would have wished for the Violence against journalists," Mamuka Mdinaradze said.
