A protest rally in front of the parliament building was announced at 6:00 p.m. today demanding the resignation of the government.The statement said that the main demand of the civil activists was the resignation of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, as well as the arrest and punishment of all offenders who attacked the Pirveli TV operator.
Pirveli TV cameraman Lekso Lashkarava, who was brutally beaten by Putin's groupings on July 5 during an attack on his office of the movement "It's a Shame", has died today. The protesters have the following demands:
1. We demand the immediate resignation of Irakli Garibashvili's government; 2. We demand an investigation by independent experts; "We demand the arrest of all those responsible and full punishment for the attackers at Lekso!" the statement reads.
Today, July 11, Lekso Lashkarava, a cameraman of the Pirveli TV channel, has passed away. On July 5, the cameraman was attacked and severely beaten by members of a homophobic and violent group. Lekso Lashkarava had broken facial bones and needed an operation.
