Lekso Lashkarava's family members and relatives have linked his death to the July 5 attack. The mother of the deceased says that to this day her son was absolutely healthy.

"It was dawn, I thought, I would cover him with a blanket - I thought, he had a dog lying next to him, he did not whimper, did the dog know? I turned him over and my son, my son, was blue. When he came home, he was so loving, he knew, he knew what would happen. He was completely healthy, what did they do to him ?! ", - says Lekso Lashkarava 's mother.

The exact cause of death of the cameraman of "TV Pirveli" is unknown, his body is being examined. On July 5, Lekso was assaulted by a  gang of thugs near the office of "Shame" and was severely beaten, had broken facial bones and required surgery.

Lekso Lashkarava's body was taken for examination, but the family did not want it. As the mother of the deceased says on TV Pirveli, she was against it.

However, forensic experts did not take into account the wishes of the family.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the case of Lekso Lashkarava's death under the article of leading to suicide.

It was Miranda Baghaturia who was present at the broadcasting of the event, where the thugs brutally beat them on July 5, near the "Shame" office.

The CEO of "TV Pirveli", Vato Tsereteli, places full responsibility of the cameraman's death on the Prime Minister, Irakhi Gharibashvili. 

He said the cause of death of the cameraman is still unknown, though the family suggested he died of a thromboembolism.

"I offer my condolences to Leqso's family, to TV Pirveli. Everyone saw the footage that happened a few days ago, how he was beaten. In the morning, his mother found him dead at home. We all want to find out the truth. .

Both his mother and aunts are doctors. They themselves have suggested that thromboembolism may have developed. " Irakli Gharibashvili and the Georgian Dream are personally responsible for the death of this boy and the mutilation of the people we saw," said Vato Tsereteli.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation offered the family members of TV First cameraman, Lekso Lashkarava that an independent and international expert of their choice can take part in the forensic examination.

Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the death of Aleksandre Lashkarava, the cameraman of "TV Pirveli", under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

Relevant forensic medical examination has already been appointed, the body of the deceased was transferred to the National Forensic Bureau of Examination.

The family members were offered by the investigation that an independent and international expert of their choice participate in the forensic examination.
