Irakli Garibashvili must resign! All abusers must be punished! - As a sign of protest four TV companies: Mtavari Channel, Formula, Kavkasia and TV Pirveli will stop broadcasting for 24 hours.
Earlier, representatives of regional channels interrupted the broadcast for 10 minutes yesterday, July 13, at 15:00, during the funeral of Lekso Lashkarava.
For information, the protest of the media representatives followed the death of the cameraman, Lekso Lashkarava, who was brutally beaten by the perpetrators on July 5. On the morning of July 11, he was found dead by his mother in his own bed. Lekso was severely beaten by violent groups at a rally on July 5, after which he also required surgery.
After his death, media representatives held a rally on Rustaveli Avenue and demanded the resignation of Irakli Gharibashvili, but the Prime Minister did not resign, which was followed by another rally by media representatives.
