It is said that there is a reliable investment environment in Georgia – Talakvadze on Department of State's report

Published:

Archil Talakvadze, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, assessed positively the US Department of State's critical report on Georgia's investment climate, saying that it focused on a reliable and sustainable investment environment in Georgia.

As for the judiciary, about  which the US State Department writes: "Judicial independence and political influence in Georgia remain a problematic issue, Talakvadze says that after further reforms, the court will become even more independent and effective.

"The report of the State Department emphasizes that Georgia has a reliable and sustainable investment environment, which means that the institutions and reforms that we have implemented will protect the investment environment.

As for criticism of the court, the desire of us and our partners to make the court even more independent and effective will be reflected in further reforms that we will implement," Archil Talakvadze said.

Other Georgian Dream MPs do not answer critical media’s  questions regarding the State Department report. They remain in boycott, saying they will answer questions after "journalists act ethically."
