He is a Spokesperson of the National Movement and the Occupant Russia - Ionatamishvili criticizes Žygimantas Pavilionis

Published:

Georgian Dream MP Rati Ionatamishvili criticizes the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lithuanian Parliament,  Žygimantas Pavilionis, and calls him the common external speaker of Russia and the United National Movement.

According to him, Pavilionis is not a friend of Georgia and his statements often serve the interests of Russia. Ionatamishvili was irritated by Pavilionis' criticism of media and minority rights.

"Pavilionis is not a friend of Georgia - his statements often serve the interests of Russia, which, in terms of de-occupation and democracy, is identical with the National Movement. [...]

A friend of the UNM "advises us" on the freedom of the media. A friend of the party who was using special forces against independent media, repressed dissent and boasted of a modeled chronicle…

When you distort the facts, it indicates subjectivity and bias. Under the rule of the Georgian Dream (as never before, after our independence), at least 5 opposition national broadcasters broadcast freely in the country, a number of print and online media, and the freedom of speech of all Georgian citizens is protected by the highest standards. Those who do not see this are either the enemy of Georgian democracy or perceive our country's European integration as a threat.

It is a fact that the National Movement and the occupier country have a common foreign speaker in the form of Pavilionis," Ionatamishvili wrote.
