The Georgian Dream has begun preparing for the election by mobilizing police forces - investigative journalists say the ruling party has appointed Goga Kbilashvili, who was arrested years ago for taking bribes, as deputy head of the Baghdati police department.

According to the source, Shalva Bedoidze, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, appointed a law enforcer arrested on serious charges during the previous government to a leading position. He was also instructed and told that the "Georgian Dream" should win convincingly in the mentioned municipalities and, if necessary, get help from his relative, who is a criminal authority.

According to the "Mtavari Channel", the "Dream" are appointing as deputy chiefs of police in the districts those who have won their trust. We tried to find out the purpose of appointing Goga Kbilashvili to the Baghdati police with him, but he hid from our cameras.

"They brought him back because he has to win the elections in Baghdati, and if done so, they promise to promote him to the post of regional police chief," said journalist Sergo Chivadze.

The opposition says they will be able to defeat the "Dream" despite intimidation, terror and threats.
