According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, a plane will arrive from Georgia to evacuate Georgian citizens from Afghanistan:

The Georgian government will send a separate board to pick them up, work on the permits is underway, and our plane will fly to Kabul and ensure their arrival on our board - said the Deputy Foreign Minister

According to him, Georgians in Kabul could not get to the airport, so they were unable to get on the Ukrainian board. In addition, 4 flights were performed during the night, but for the same reason, Georgian citizens could not get on board.

According to the Deputy Minister, Alexander Khvtisiashvili, negotiations are underway with partner countries on permits for Georgian flights to Afghanistan, in addition, the Turkish side has expressed readiness to assist. In particular, they will take Georgian citizens to the airport in armored vehicles.

"We have talked to other partner countries. There is also confirmation from them that they can be evacuated if they get to the airport. Several more flights are planned. Unfortunately, they could not come overnight because the situation in Kabul was tense, so they chose to stay at the base. Now we are working to transfer them from the base to the Kabul Airport.

The Turkish side has confirmed its readiness to take them to the Kabul airport in armored vehicles. This operation is underway now, and we hope they will be brought to Kabul airport in the near future, from where our partners will ensure their arrival in Georgia," Khvtisiashvili said.
