"It seems that they can not find people to be their candidates. In the end, they had to find such candidates in their families and members of parliament," Georgian Dream leader Shalva Papuashvili said about UNM mayoral candidates.
According to Papuashvili, the opposition party is not preparing for the elections, but for further unrest.
"They do not seem to be able to find and convince people to be their candidates. In the end, they had to find such candidates in their families and members of parliament. It only indicates one thing, that the opposition is not preparing for self-government elections. They have no program from what we've seen.
Consequently, they are preparing not for the October 2 elections, but for October 3, the second day of the elections, to start a riot once again and the only promise that we observe they will fullfill is to start a riot after the elections," Shalva Papuashvili said.
