"The article can not withstand any criticism" - Kelly / Kramer's letter seems "incomprehensible" to Khelashvili

Published:

The biased opinion of two people - this is how Giorgi Khelashvili, a member of the Georgian Dream, assesses the letter of former US Ambassador Ian Kelly and former US State Department official David Kramer to Foreign Policy.

The position presented in the letter is unclear for Khelashvili.

"It is disappointing that two people who consider themselves friends of Georgia are writing such a biased article. The article can not withstand any criticism because the individual facts in it are taken out of context or misinterpreted. Such is the case of Gavrilov, the topic of Anaklia - about 7-8 facts are given, which have nothing to do with the truth, and then it is deduced from these facts that Georgia allegedly turned its back on the West and went into Russian orbit. This is a completely incomprehensible position and it would not deserve any answer if it were not for the fact that two people presenting themselves to be friends of Georgia write this. It was also published in such an authoritative magazine as "Foreign Policy" - says Khelashvili.
