The Georgian flag was also hoisted at the parade dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine. Along with the military units of Great Britain, Denmark and other countries, the Georgian army unit also took part in the solemn procession.
The third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili also attended the event.
"Gharibashvili has not come to Lviv for the event, when he heard that I would be there. He should have stayed at the parade but he asked for Saakashvili not to be there, but he was declined, then he asked for Saakashvili not to be on their rostrum. The protocol did not work out, and he ran off to Tbilisi. Instead of him, I greeted our soldiers, so neither Ukraine nor our military contingent that was here lost anything, after all, it is the armed forces, that i created" Mikheil Saakashvili said.
