The accused in the attack on Formula TV presenter Vakho Sanaia will be released from prison today. The judge of the Tbilisi City Court announced the final decision on the case a few minutes ago. According to the court decision, one of them, Suliko Sakevarishvili was sentenced by the judge to 6 months of imprisonment and community service, Vazha Gigauri was found guilty and also sentenced to 6 months imprisonment and a fine of 2500 GEL, while Giorgi Sakhelashvili was also sentenced to 6 months imprisonment.
Vakho Sanaia responded to the decision on Facebook and called the judge of the case, Giorgi Keratishvili, shameful:
"The judge rleased all three of them. what a great court! Keratishvili - a disgraceful judge!", - Vakho Sanaia writes.
Vakho Sanaia and his family members were attacked in Tbilisi late at night on February 25. On April 15, the Tbilisi City Court held a trial for three people arrested on charges of assaulting Sanaia. The judge left all three defendants - Suliko Sakevarashvili, Giorgi Sakhelashvili and Vazha Gigauri - in custody.
