Imedi TV refused to air "European Georgia" pre-election political advertisements, citing "hate speech" as the reason.

"Imedi TV refuses to broadcast hate speech in the pre-election political advertisement, no matter which political party this advertisement belongs to. The first political force to bring hate speech to Imedi TV was European Georgia. The channel refuses to broadcast similar commercials and will inform "European Georgia" in writing in a few minutes. Imedi TV will not devote itself to spreading hate speech," the TV company said in a statement.

"European Georgia" also responded to Imedi's decision. A statement posted on the party's Facebook page said that "European Georgia" would take legal action over the incident.
