Kakha Kaladze does not consider the transfer of housing for 300 IDP families for 1 GEL as a pre-election bribe. The mayor of Tbilisi says that it is "complete nonsense" for anyone who thinks this is bribery.
According to him, the transfer of housing to IDPs is a promise of 2017 and more than 2,000 families have already been satisfied.
"When we issue permits and implement infrastructure projects, is that also bribery? This is exactly the same municipal issue, then you have to close the City Hall, ill have to resign, the municipality will no longer function and would that be normal? It is complete nonsense if someone assumes that this is bribery. We are implementing the projects we have planned, and we have promised the population. Of course, we are not going to stop, we are going to transfer and legalize the apartments where these people have lived for years in the next few days. This was the promise of 2017, we have already satisfied more than 2000 families, and we will help many more with this, ”said Kaladze.
