The EU included the issue of elite corruption in the draft report - Mikheil Saakashvili on Kobakhidze's statement

"I really want to call on the EU to stop financial aid to this regime because it does not reach the Georgian people because of elite corruption," Mikheil Saakashvili wrote when commenting on Irakli Kobakhidze's statement that the loss of EU aid would not be a burden, because the "high economic growth" the country has:

"First of all, if you have amassed one billion GEL, you idiots, why don't you distribute it to the impoverished and hungry masses?!

The main thing is that for the first time in its history, Georgia is left without EU financial assistance.

This is what they have achieved, with a democracy that should have amazed Europe, but I really want to call on the EU to stop this financial aid because it does not reach the Georgian people because of elite corruption.

The financial aid is completely wasted upon their villas, transferred to their accounts abroad, which they have saved for the time when they have to flee, after draining Georgia like a lemon.

Finally, the EU included the issue of elite corruption in its draft report, and the Georgian Dream has been lobbying hysterically for the last two weeks.

Through its multimillion-dollar salary lobbyists, that might remove this elite corruption from the draft of the report - it seems that they have failed in this regard as well.

Elite corruption was not even mentioned in the EU report during Shevardnadze's time - let alone mine.
