They mentioned the article of violence | The Ministry of Internal Affairs does not allow Ugulava to register as a candidate

"What the Georgian Interior Ministry is doing today is about the same as the Belarussian Interior Ministry and government, as well as Russia, when opposition candidates are not allowed to register," said Gigi Ugulava, an opposition mayoral candidate in Poti. The Ministry of Internal Affairs does not provide the necessary information for registration in the elections.

According to Ugulava, while clarifying the details, Article 126 was mentioned in the agency:

"I came today, I paid the money in an expedited manner, I was waiting for the document and in the evening I was told that it was refused. I came to find out, and it turned out that there was a refusal from Tbilisi. At first, they could not figure it out on the spot. The only thing that was mentioned was Article 126 [violence]. As soon as that happened, I realized what the situation was. That article was the one that I was accused under," Ugulava said.
