"It's Gharibashvili's swamp and let him be alone in it" | Nika Gvaramia answers to Gharibashvili

"This is Gharibashvili's swamp and let him be alone in it," Nika Gvaramia, the CEO of the Mtavari Channel, replied to the Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, who compared him to Education Minister Mikheil Chkhenkeli.

Nika Gvaramia spoke about the reforms implemented during his ministry of education:

"Simply put, the following was done during my tenure as Minister of Education: a unified national curriculum was developed and significantly changed in consultation with specialists, most importantly teachers, school principals. A new rule for admission to the master's program was established and unified master's exams were introduced, which eliminated corruption at the master's level in universities;

What is most proud and important to me was my personal idea and then written in the so-called legislation. 4 + 1 system, which means the following: in the first year, the representatives of ethnic minorities passed only with skills, learned only the Georgian language and then for 4 years mastered the profession in Georgian. Today you can ask in the regions inhabited by ethnic minorities, if any young people speak Georgian, which is the merit of this program. As for the infrastructure, 6 new, modern schools were built during my time and we bought more than 100 thousand new, quality desks ", - said Nika Gvaramia.

As for the current Minister of Education, the CEO of the Mtavari Channel noted that a large part of the public knows nothing about the activities of Mikheil Chkhenkeli.

"Now they are telling me what the scientist Mikheil Chkhenkeli did, whose science I do not know anything about, but I do not know about the Ministry of Education either. I assure you, the vast majority of the society does not know what Mr. Chkhenkeli is doing," Nika Gvaramia said.
