It was clear that the Georgian government did not deserve this part of the EU assistance - Viola von Cramon

It was quite clear that the Georgian government did not deserve this part of the EU aid - says MEP Viola von Cramon about the EU aid, which Gharibashvili calls a loan, and argues that the country has economic growth and does not need money.

According to Viola von Cramon, the EU refused to allocate a second tranche to Georgia because it did not meet the conditions set out in the memorandum regarding judicial reform.

"In my view, this is completely unclear. European aid contains certain conditions, the memorandum of relations signed by the Georgian government, one of the reservations was just that, they went against this condition. This was the criterion in the Charles Michel document. That is why the EU refused. Said about the allocation of the second tranche for Georgia. It was very clear that the Georgian government did not deserve this part of the EU aid, but Georgia would be much better off if the government received this money," Viola von Cramon told the "Mtavari Channel"
