Irakli Gharibashvili accused the opposition this time of fighting against the church and supporting the LGBT community. He spoke about this topic during the nomination of the mayoral candidate in Tkibuli and said that the opposition is also fighting against the patriarch.
"Their policy is not just based on emotions, it is a well-conceived insidious conspiracy against Georgia and our people. The first task is not to leave any authority in the country, to discredit all authoritative institutions, army, police, court. That is why they are fighting against the church, the patriarch, that is why they are inventing a thousand provocations, that is why they are standing behind the LGBT march campaign and organizing them was a serious provocation that we avoided," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
