According to Beka Davituliani, a Georgian Dream MP, the positions of the embassies "do not matter" in changing the rules for electing the Prosecutor General. According to him, there was no substantial demand from the opposition to change the rule.
Davituliani also says that the ruling team will fulfill the provisions of the Charles Michel Agreement on the basis of their "good will".
"We have said that we will fulfill a number of conditions with our good will, which is written, and we will fulfill these conditions with our good will. Opposition parties have not made any substantial demands regarding the procedure for electing the Prosecutor General. If the parliamentary parties agree that this is not a first-degree change, and it is better as it is, the position of the embassies does not matter at all in this case," Beka Davituliani said.
