If it is confirmed that they were hiding him because of his connection with the "Dream", then it is a result of Ivanishvili's policy - Bokeria on Mursakulov

Published:

European Georgia Chairman Giga Bokeria has responded to reports that the MIA has arrested Rafael Mursakulov, accused of killing Shanae Brooke, and linked him to the ruling party.

As Bokeria noted, there could be an activist in any party who commits a crime and the political force is not responsible for it, but he said that if it was proven that the police ignored Mursakulov's crime, what happened was "directly related to Bidzina Ivanishvili's policies."

"Yesterday, the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed us that he had been arrested in one of the most horrific murders in recent times, and that his identity and personality had become known to the public. At the same time, we all learned that this man was a supporter, activist, active member of Ivanishvili's political force. Of course, conclusive evidence must first be established beyond a reasonable doubt as to the guilt of this person. After that, any political force, no matter what its reputation, can have an activist, a supporter, an active member who commits a heinous crime, for which this political force is not responsible.

But, if the guilt of this person has been proved by incontrovertible evidence and if the story that there was a complaint of well-founded violence against this person and the police have ignored the complaint, or was forced to ignore it because he had a connection to the ruling team, then it is a result of Ivanishvili's policy - said Giga Bokeria.
