UNM and TV stations try to discredit the church - Kobakhidze on possible surveillance of clergy

Irakli Kobakhidze, the chairman of the Georgian Dream, responded to the release of secret files from the SSG, according to which the agency listens to and monitors the clergy.
Kobakhidze blamed the opposition and the media for the leaked files, saying it served to discredit the church.
"I was told that there was an attempt to discredit the church. It is a constant campaign. We see that for several years, both the National Movement and its affiliated TV stations have been trying to discredit the church, but these attempts are doomed to failure. This is an anti-state action, and they will receive a proper response from the society in these elections," Irakli Kobakhidze said.
