Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili responded to the leaking of secret State Security records, saying it was a "dirty provocation" against the church.

In Kaspi, while nominating the party's mayoral candidate, Gharibashvili again fired arrows at the United National Movement and Mikheil Saakashvili. He held UNM responsible for preparing and disseminating the records covering the period 2014-2021.

"This is another dirty provocation against our state and the Church as a whole as the most authoritative institution.
 We have been told many times that one of the main goals and objectives of the "National Movement" and Saakashvili, the oppressive evil forces, was to discredit the main institutions, such as the Church, our patriarch, priests and clergy.

They know that they are severely defeated in every municipality and every city, what else could they invent ig not some fictional legends, and this is done by a force that was distinguished by oppression, torture, rape, business terror and a thousand calamities, most importantly, for the occupation of our territories. How can such a person and such a force be voted by anyone else? This is complicity in this treason. We are the most humane government in the last 30 years. These people declare an information-psychological war on freedom, such development, progress, and portray it as an apocalypse.

We will come on October 2, the Georgian people will give a dignified answer and the "Georgian Dream" will win in all cities and all municipalities. We are a strong government. There will be zero compromise on any attempt to provoke any provocation. The elections will end and everyone responsible will answer for this," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
