We have a chance to write history on October 2 - Nika Melia, the general opposition candidate for Tbilisi mayor, made a statement to the voters during the nomination of the majoritarian candidate Batu Kutelia in Vake.
Nika Melia responded to the main topic of the last days, the illegal recordings of the SSG, and called on the voters to make the necessary decision for the future of the country at the polling stations:
"I know for sure that in Mtatsminda district, Vake, Saburtalo, those who are able, walk with guns. More than half are recruited by the SSG, or closely aligned to them. I do not want to live in a city where at this age I have to fear for the safety of my 6-year-old child. I know many fathers and mothers listen. Every political party has suffered. On October 2, either the Georgian people will win, and we will write history, or the Gomelauri, Gharibashvili, Kaladze and Kobakhidze will tell us that we were not a fighting people," said Nika Melia.
