This is my Batumi - Mikheil Saakashvili releases a video statement

The third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, posts a video on Facebook and says that he is in Batumi.

Mikheil Saakashvili calls on citizens to go to the polls and support him. According to him, he will be in Tbilisi soon.

"This is my Batumi. we have all to go to the elections on the 2nd and vote for the National Movement. By no means for Ivanishvili, Gakharia, or any of their satellites. If you do not like the National Movement, vote for relatively honest, small parties.

Here should have been my Batumi American University of Technology, which was destroyed. We would have a vaccine, and we would not have so many people die from COVID. I missed this place so much. Today is the fulfillment of my dream. Finally, this dream will come true when Georgia stands on its feet. Today only houses for the Russians are being built here and where this is happening, there is no space for developing and moving forward. People are fleeing Georgia.

We have to go the elections on 2 of October and have everyone vote. Then, let's gather on 3, fill Rustaveli, Freedom Square and if we stand as a  hundred thousand people, no one can defeat us, Georgia will stand on the path of development. You know, I'm hoping for your aid. You see, that I risked everything, both my life and my freedom, to come here. I want only one thing from you, go to the polls, do not be afraid, everything will work out for us. See you soon. Soon in Tbilisi," Mikheil Saakashvili said.
