The person whose apartment Mikheil Saakashvili has been in since September 30 has been charged by the prosecutor's office

The prosecutor's office has charged E.C. with covering up the crime of illegally crossing the state border of Georgia by the third president, Mikheil Saakashvili. The statement said that on September 30, 2021, Saakashvili was given an apartment in Tbilisi "for hiding and temporary residence."

"By his active action, on September 30, 2021, he handed over the apartment he owned in Tbilisi to him to hide and temporarily live in.  On October 1, 2021, a search was conducted in the mentioned apartment, where, according to the judgment of the Tbilisi City Court of June 28, 2018, Article 25, 117, part 5, Subparagraph “e” and Article 333, Part 3, Subparagraph B of the Criminal Code of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, a citizen of Ukraine convicted under the sub-paragraph, was found" the agency said in a statement.

Elguja Tsomaia was detained by law enforcers on October 1. He was charged with the second part of Article 375 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carries a sentence of imprisonment from 1 to 4 years.
