Unrest in the Zugdidi District Commission - Police forcibly evict opposition from building

There is unrest in the building of the the District Election Commission 67 in Zugdidi. The situation became tense after the representatives of the United National Movement and the leader of the Droa party, Elene Khoshtaria, arrived at the scene.

They demand a meeting with the chairperson of the commission, Miranda Meskhi, but the police officers mobilized in the building do not allow them to enter her office.

Opposition groups called for an end to the election fraud and demanded an explanation from Miranda Meskhi. They say that members of the Georgian Dream commission were in the sealed room where the ballot papers were placed, and left the room after opposition members noticed it.

The situation on the ground is still tense. Police officers are forcing the opposition representatives to exit the building.
