I do not care at all, - Turnava on Mikheil Saakashvili's hunger strike

Published:

Minister of Economics Natia Turnava says she has "very little" interest in whether Georgia's third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, is on a hunger strike.

As Turnava noted, a "right question" to ask her would be  - what is the government doing to completely eradicate the problem of hunger in the country.

"He is serving a sentence imposed by law. As for whether he is on hunger strike or not, it is an inadequate question for the Minister of Economics. Millions of people around the world are starving because of poverty, and in Georgia, unfortunately, we still have a similar problem. If you asked me, the Minister of Economics, what we are doing to fix this, and we are doing a lot to eliminate the problem of hunger in Georgia and for no one to be under the threat of starvation, to fight poverty, then it would be the right question for me. But, I am not interested in your previous question at all, "Natia Turnava said.
