"I hope that Mr. Mikheil will be released from prison and a new era in the history of our country will begin," Metropolitan Nikoloz of Akhalkalaki, Kari and Kumordo said after meeting with Mikheil Saakashvili.

Reverend Nikoloz spoke to reporters about the details of the meeting with the third president of Georgia and said that the topic of the meeting was hate speech and reconciliation. The Metropolitan expressed hope that Mikheil Saakashvili will be released soon, and a new era will begin in the country:

"I want to urge you all to stop the rhetoric of hatred towards each other. I have high hopes that Mr. Mikheil will be released from prison and a new era in the history of our country will begin, that all of us, current, past and future governments will find common ground, and we will all find a common language," said Rev.
