At the request of Mikheil Saakashvili, the Ministry of Health can mobilize experts in the format of a council - Gabunia

According to the Deputy Minister of Health, Tamar Gabunia, the first meeting with a wide range of doctors was held today to mobilize a group of experts to monitor Mikheil Saakashvili's health condition.

According to her, the details of the group meeting with Mikheil Saakashvili and the activities of the experts will be agreed and will be determined in accordance with the request of the Health Department of the Penitentiary Service.

"Today was the first meeting with a wide range of doctors, including neurology, cardiology, endocrinology. If necessary, and at the request of the Penitentiary Department, as well as at the request of Mikheil Saakashvili himself, the Ministry of Health can mobilize experts in the format of a council and study the issue in accordance with the patient's rights and the law," said Tamar Gabunia.

She said that the work will continue in accordance with the instructions of the Health Department of the Penitentiary Service. The list of experts will be provided to the Ministry of Justice.

"Details of the group meeting with Mikheil Saakashvili and the activities of the experts will be agreed upon and determined at the request of the Penitentiary Service Health Department. As soon as we receive instructions from the Minister of Justice, we will act accordingly," he said.
