Transparency International Georgia publishes information on election disputes and writes that on October 2 and after, the organization filed 42 complaints with the commissions and filed 7 lawsuits in the district courts.
TI states that none of their significant complaints / lawsuits have been satisfied.
"Finally, the district election commissions and courts upheld 4 complaints and 1 lawsuit requesting disciplinary action against a representative of the election administration. As for the recount of the ballots requested due to the imbalance in the protocols, none of the 12 polling stations complained at our request, but the district commissions recounted 7 polling stations on their own initiative or random selection. On the whole, the district election commissions and the courts of different instances have not satisfied any of the important complaints / lawsuits of Transparency International Georgia," TI writes.
TI notes that the Election Commission, the District courts and the Court of Appeals did not comply with the request for annulment of the results of the two precincts in Marneuli, where we observed serious violations within the observation mission, including multiple voting by voters.
Also, the Zugdidi District and later the Court of Appeals rejected the lawsuit by the decision of the Zugdidi District Election Commission regarding the recount of only invalid ballot papers in 4 precincts of the 11th majoritarian district, as a result of which the winning candidate was changed.
TI writes that out of 12 precincts where ballot recount was requested due to imbalance, 3 DECs were recounted at random; In 2 precincts the district commissions recounted the ballot papers on their own initiative, in 2 more precincts, the request for recounting was not satisfied, the district commissions later recounted them anyway, and in the other 5 precincts the ballot papers were not recounted.
