"Say no to the Georgian dream and choose your homeland" | Mikheil Saakashvili addresses public officials and state media representatives

Published:

The third President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili addresses public officials, law enforcement officers, people employed in commissions and representatives of the state media. His statement was published on the official Facebook page of the third president, which we offered you unchanged:

My dears, you probably saw the huge gathering on October 14th at liberty Square. 60 thousand people gathered and demanded the release of the country, and not only me, personally. Gathered with love and the demand for great reconciliation. For me, this gathering and its spirit was an unmistakable sign that the regime no longer has any serious foothold in society. In the last days of its existence, the regime will intensify its violence against you and try to use you to the end to rig the elections. However, no falsification can help them — they have completely lost the trust and support of the Georgian people. Without this, no one will ever be able to win the elections.

I would like to ask you to always remember that you are, first of all, the children of Georgia and like all normal people, you want to live in a free, democratic, protected and developed country, where your well-being will be ensured. What you are forced to do is against these goals and will lead our country to the abyss. Therefore, I urge you all to refrain not only from active fraud, but also from turning a blind eye to the ongoing fraud in front of you. Give up the Georgian Dream and choose the homeland in whose favor the choice is made by the opposition today.

I call on the special forces and police not to disperse the peaceful protests of their own people. The people whose protection your duty. It is the people, not the regime and Ivanishvili personally.

I call on the representatives of the state media to openly tell the truth and refuse to spread blatant lies, and thus not to contribute to the destruction of their homeland.

We have a great deal of reconciliation ahead of us, and reconciliation requires compassionate movements from everyone.

Dear civil servants, you owe nothing to no one, on the contrary, the state owes you a debt, since the vast majority of you work on meager wages and in degrading conditions. Therefore, we consider it our duty to release you and then your talents and skills will be much appreciated and each of you will feel much more realized and useful.

With friendly greetings, Mikheil Saakashvili," the third president said in an address.
