The third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, says that after today he will cease cooperation with the Concilium of Doctors and will no longer receive hunger relief treatment. According to him, he will not take the tests either.

"As you know, I have been cooperating with the government-appointed medical concilium so far, with the sole purpose of maintaining a minimum capacity for work and thinking ability until election day. Today, I am finishing this cooperation. I am grateful to the members of the concilium, and it is unfortunate that the government has not heeded their main recommendation.  After today, I will no longer receive hunger relief treatment and I will no longer undergo tests. I came to Georgia because I thought that our country was finally moving towards totalitarianism and emptying of Georgians, even in this election we should try to stop it and take a step in the other direction.

In the first round, the opposition really achieved serious success and reached the second round in all the big cities, and even won the first place in a few. Then we witnessed a very positional process, the unification of completely different opposition forces. Tomorrow is the second round, and it is crucial for Georgian democracy, for our future and for my life. I want you to know that the continuation of my life is entirely tied to your decision tomorrow and the victory of Georgia.

Today my hunger continues in full force, but I have hope for each of you, therefore a hope for a victorious tomorrow.

Please, at the end of the day and tomorrow morning, call all your relatives who were not going to go to the polls and take them with you. Every person’s participation is extremely important. I would also like to ask you to gather again at the polling stations tomorrow evening to defend the votes together, Ivanishvili wants to finally break us and subjugate us. The fate of the country is in your hands.

I strongly believe in victory and the reconciliation and unification of the society after victory, the healing of wounds and the joint progress and success of people of different views. May God be our protector," Giorgi Gelkhauri read.
