Danger of Arrhythmia and Kidney Failure - Doctors on Mikheil Saakashvili's Health

Published:

The health condition of the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, is unknown. Mikheil Saakashvili refuses to meet with the council and conduct medical examinations for him. Nikoloz Kipshidze, his personal doctor, will visit him in prison today.

The third president has been on a hunger strike for 31 days now. Doctors do not rule out that he may develop kidney failure, which will require a dialysis machine. The prison hospital does not have this equipment.

"The fact that the president is refusing to make any revelations or visit the doctor at this point now increases the risk by several magnitudes, of course, because we know he had two episodes of arrhythmia. if an arrhythmia episode occurs, it could end badly, fatally." - says doctor Gocha Giorgadze.

Vili Pachkoria, president of the Association of Clinics, says irreversible processes can occur any day.

"It is expected that poly organ failure will develop, no filtration has occurred due to kidney failure, in which case replacement therapy and dialysis machine will be necessary," Pachkoria said.

He said such a patient is vitally transported to a mixed-type polypropylene clinic.
