Mikheil Saakashvili will not be transferred to the court hearing by the penitentiary service - Beka Basilaia

The third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, will not be taken to the Tbilisi City Court for trial.

As his lawyer, Beka Basilaia, noted, the third president was not even informed that a relevant request had been sent by the court to attend the trial.

"The court trial is at 1 PM. Mikheil Saakashvili will not be transferred to the process by the penitentiary service. Moreover, they did not even inform him last night that a request had come from the court," Beka Basilaia said.
