MEP Anna Fotyga met with the leader of "Droa" Elene Khoshtaria in the Parliament building.
According to Elene Khoshtaria, Fotyga is a person who knows very well what, totalitarian, dictatorial and authoritarian regimes are, because she herself fought against the Soviet Union.
According to Khoshtaria, he does not know whether he will be able to enter the European Parliament with Mikheil Saakashvili, because recently, the rights of the third president of Georgia are being considered:
"I do not know at this time whether she [Anna Fotyga] will be able to visit Mikheil Saakashvili. We see that Mikheil Saakashvili's rights are being violated unbelievably, and I do not know if he will enter yet. Of course, it is very important that both Anna Fotyga and the friends of our country see that our society, we politicians, citizens, activists do not give up and that we fight, there is no country that will build our democracy instead of us.
The solution was offered by the decision of Strasbourg that would be very beneficial for our country. Who said that Mikheil Saakashvili is truly on hunger strike and that they are monitoring his treatment and security. We see that our partners America, the European Union are stating that he should have all the rights, the right to life, the right to health, absolutely protected.
Mikheil Saakashvili took a step, responded by saying that he would end the hunger strike if he was taken to a civilian clinic, it is a significant step towards de-escalation between them and now, of course, it is the Georgian dream's turn that we do not fall into a deadlock. Peaceful rallies will continue, my hunger strike will continue until we achieve the protection of the third president's constitutional right to life,- says Elene Khoshtaria
