According to Davit Sergeenko, a Georgian Dream MP, if the doctors decide that there are no appropriate conditions for the treatment of the third president on hunger strike at the Gldani Prison Hospital, the state should take care of his transfer.
"I really sincerely believe that if doctors are allowed to paint an objective, perceptible picture that there are adequate conditions there, then the questions about the transfer should disappear, if it actually turns out that there are no appropriate conditions, of course they should take care of the transfer. In my opinion, political interference in making this decision muddies the situation. I'm not afraid to mention the word crisis, we can call it another term, there is a tension that could potentially endanger the patient's health. Let the doctors do their job, and they will make the right decision very quickly," said Davit Sergeenko.
