The sooner politicians stop talking about medical issues, the more the interest of the prisoner will be protected - Tsulukiani

The minister of culture Tea Tsulukiani says that health is a medical issue, not a political one, so the sooner politicians stop talking about medical issues, the more the interests of the prisoner will be protected. The Minister made the above-mentioned comment in response to journalists' question about Mikhail Saakashvili's hospitalization:

"The sooner the opposition, be it politicians like me, will stop talking about medical problems, the higher will be the interest of this or that prisoner, because health is a medical problem and not a political one. So all doctors in patient management can agree or disagree. This is what the board or councils are for, if there are any differences between the groups formed as a council.

The main thing is for the doctors, the medical professionals, to come to a consensus. As a former Minister of Justice, I have always reported the opinion of doctors on the management of the prisoner as a patient, taking it as a guideline. Of course, in this case too, the same will apply for the penitentiary service" said Tea Tsulukiani.
