Mikheil Saakashvili's Ukrainian lawyer allowed into the country - Evgeniy Grushovets arrives at Gori military hospital

Georgia's third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, is expected to be visited today by his Ukrainian lawyer, Evgeny Grushovets. The lawyer has arrived in the country this time and is now waiting for permission from doctors and guards to enter the Gori military hospital.

As the lawyer noted, he will tell Mikheil Saakashvili about his future plans. He also spoke about the possibility of the involvement of European Union countries.

"This was the second attempt to come to Georgia, and it is good that we were let in. I believe that this is a politically motivated case, because in Ukraine no one is in prison on such charges. It is important for me to meet with Mikheil Saakashvili and I will tell him about my future plans.

We have different options to help him, but we cannot make a decision without meeting him. We can involve EU countries in his case because it is impossible to get help in political matters with the help of one or two countries. I hope I will be given the right to enter and visit the hospital," said Evgeny Grushovets.

The Ukrainian lawyer was given the opportunity to visit the third president for the first time today. He arrived in Tbilisi a few weeks ago, but was refused entry and sent back.
