The expired city council of Zugdidi also approved the 2022 budget

The expired council also approved the 2022 budget in Zugdidi. The session is currently underway and only Dream legislators are present.

Initially the Zugdidi council session was attended by Ani Tsitlidze and 3 others. They demanded that the others enjoy the same rights, which led to a dispute. The police forced them to leave the City Council session.

 Ani Tsitlidze says that during the confrontation the police broke her finger.

The meeting of the old council of Zugdidi was held amid protests and disagreements, just as in Batumi. Police detained protesters in Zugdidi and Batumi following the approval of the budget by expired members. The situation in both cities remains tense.
