The trial of the so-called jacket case of Mikheil Saakashvili has begun in the Tbilisi City Court. The third president is present at the trial. He was taken from the Gori hospital in Tbilisi this morning by prison service officers, accompanied by special forces.

It was recently reported that the ongoing trial would not be broadcast live, although the court later reversed this decision and allowed a public broadcaster to record the live proceedings and broadcast them to other televisions.
