Treatment is impossible in Georgia - "Empathy" demands Mikheil Saakashvili to be hospitalized abroad

Published:

The Independent Council states that Mikheil Saakashvili's treatment cannot continue in Georgia and that rehabilitation is needed, which is only possible abroad, where there is experience in treating such patients.

The Empathy Centre is preparing a report for Strasbourg and the Public Defender, which will provide a detailed analysis of the use of psychotropic drugs that have worsened Mikheil Saakashvili's health.

"He still requires intensive treatment, especially in the field of neuropsychology and subsequent neurorehabilitation. I do not know to what extent this will be possible in the conditions he is in, and whether it will even be possible in Georgia.

The report is very big and comprehensive, it is intended for the European Court of Human Rights, and it will also be sent to the Public Defender, and to the Public Defender of Ukraine" - said Mariam Jishkariani.

Dr. Otar Toidze also says that it is impossible to cure this encephalopathy in Georgia, as it requires a complex approach and an experienced team.
