Gordon: Saakashvili is the hero who dared to return to Ivanishvili's Georgia

"Saakashvili is a hero who dared to return to Ivanishvili's Georgia when he knew exactly how brutally the regime would treat him," influential Ukrainian journalist Dmitri Gordon said in an exclusive interview with the Mtavari Channel.

On the 27th of October, Gordon was not allowed into the country by the Georgian authorities and was deported to Ukraine from the airport. His wife Alesia Batsman was also not allowed into Georgia.

"He wanted to wake up his people, he wanted to be in his country at such a difficult time. Such people are rare in the world and one of them is Mikheil Saakashvili. He was ready to die," said Dimitri Gordon, on the show "Guest Of The Day.
