"This means that there are at least 2 independent institutions in Georgia" - Mikheil Saakashvili on the decision of the State Inspectorate

Mikheil Saakashvili, Georgia's third president, responds to the State Inspector's decision to hold the Ministry of Justice and the Penitentiary Service administratively liable.
"I welcome the decision of the State Inspector to investigate the violation of my rights and to prohibit further such actions by the Ministry of Justice. This means that there are at least two independent public institutions in Georgia - the Public Defender and the State Inspector. It is noteworthy that both are headed by women.
I also know that there are many decent and patriotic citizens in many government bodies and I expect them to take a righteous position against unfair facts" - said Mikheil Saakashvili in a statement.
