I didn't insult her, my problem was that I didn't know the position existed - Kaladze on Erika Olson

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze responded to criticism from former US Ambassador to Georgia Ian Kelly by saying that he had not insulted Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Erika Olson.

As he pointed out, the problem was that he was "unaware" of the existence of the position held by Erika Olson.

"Ian Kelly's statement is incomprehensible because I did not insult anyone. You won't find any statement from me that I insulted representatives of our strategic partner or foreign friends in general, no such fact. My statement yesterday was also not an insult. It was just my my problem that I didn't know the position that the journalist mentioned existed" Kakha Kaladze said.
