Bekauri against the Mtavari Channel - Yet another trial in the city court

The government's main target is again the "Mtavari Channel", which the ruling party is battling with the hands of the regulatory commission.

Kakha Bekauri's agency first fined our TV channel for the free Misha clips and now, presumably before the New Year, has decided to sanction and silence the channel;

The trial is taking place in Tbilisi City Court. The Bekauri commission is appealing the ruling that was made in favour of the Mtavari Channel.

Lawyer of the Mtavari Channel presumes the court verdict, which may come today, will be in favour of the communication commission.

The Court of Appeals granted Bekauri's motion on 6 December.
